Director of Player Development

Dean Mazza, USSF National"C" License

Coach Dean has been training and coaching youth players at the Club level for over 12 years. Prior to moving to Las Vegas in 2015, Coach Dean spent 6 years at Albion Soccer Club in San Diego, California. Prior to Albion Soccer Club, he spent 2 years at Bonita Rebels Soccer Club in San Diego, Calfornia and 5 years at Rangers Soccer Club in Chula Vista, California. Coach Dean holds a USSF National "C" soccer coaching license and is a teacher with the Clark County School District.  Coach Dean played Club soccer throughout his youth, during all 4 years in high school (MVP) and 3 years of college ball at California State San Bernardino.

Coach Dean is known for developing highly skillful and technical young players. Coach Dean strives to teach all players ball mastery, creativity and a love of the game. Dean enjoys working with players ages 7-14, his passion is developing young players and making them the best they can be. He believes the most important thing is for the players early on, to develop the skills they need to control the ball and feel confident with the ball. He teaches ball mastery and skill moves and how to use them in game situations as well as team shape and team play. Coach Dean wants all of his players to be strong on the ball, and use their bodies to win the ball and maintain possession.

Coach Dean is quite unique. Most soccer coaches want to win first, develop second. Coach Dean is the opposite. He wants his players to develop first - letting the wins come as a product of that development.  He wants all of his players to succeed at whatever level the game takes them. When he is not working as a school teacher or coaching/training players at PRIME SC, Coach Dean plays in local adult leagues and tournaments.
