Nelson Medina

 Coach Nelson Medina

Coach Medina is a USSF "A" National License coach, a former professional player and US Youth National Team player that participated in the 1987 FIFA U17 World Cup in Canada.  A 2-time Parade All American standout soccer player, he also has an extensive and successful career as a youth soccer coach.  This includes twenty seven years of coaching youth soccer and sixteen years as a club director/supervisor. He has coached three (3) U.S. National Team players, one (1) Major League Soccer (MLS) player and one (1) National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) player.  He has also coached teams to fourteen (14) USYSA National Series State Cup Championships in Cal-South, Nevada and Arkansas and also has lead an Arkansas team to a Region III League Championship.  He was voted Arkansas High School 7A West Conference Coach of the Year and Arkansas Gazette Media Coach of the Year in 2013.  Charismatic coaching along with an extensive knowledge of the modern game and the ability to relay the message to the athletes are the main reasons for so much success.
