PRIME Soccer Club Welcomes Coach TANNER RIOS !!

PRIME Soccer Club is pleased to announce that Coach Tanner Rios of Spring Creek, Nevada has joined our coaching staff.  Coach Tanner is the founder of SC United, a travel Club in Elko County.

Rios, 43, a married father of five, said the decision to join PRIME Soccer Club was easy.  “PRIME SC is the only club in Nevada, that I know of, that is truly focused on player development,” said Rios.  “I’ve been watching PRIME SC for a little while and have seen the progression and improvement in their players - PRIME SC teams play beautiful soccer,” he added.

This move represents PRIME SC’s first expansion beyond the greater metropolitan Las Vegas area.  “We are very excited to bring our player centric approach to Elko County.  By joining forces with Tanner we have a strong nucleus of teams that will develop young players by honing their technical skills from a young age.  We focus on building confidence on the ball.  It’s our secret sauce,” Mark Seif, executive director of PRIME Soccer Club, stated.

PRIME Soccer Club, founded in April 2016, now boasts over 30 competitive teams, boys and girls, ranging in player age from five to 18.  PRIME SC was greeted with open arms by the youth soccer community when it held its first tryouts in May 2016, and quickly became the fastest growing youth soccer club in the Silver State’s history.

“We were extremely fortunate to receive so much support from Southern Nevada, right from the start.  We are now committed to providing Northern Nevada with the same high-quality soccer training,” Seif said.

Rios, who holds a US Soccer Federation coaching license, grew up in Honduras, and was a goalkeeper in high school.   He comes from a family of goalkeepers and is currently the varsity head coach at Spring Creek High School.  He believes joining PRIME SC will provide his teams with the advantage they need to compete with the best teams in Reno and Salt Lake City, where Coach Tanners teams currently play their league games.

“In just four years, PRIME SC has managed to become the premiere soccer club in Nevada, and we are thrilled to bring PRIME SC’s resources to our players here in Elko County.  The added benefit of having our players train with PRIME SC’s Las Vegas and Henderson based teams when they visit southern Nevada is huge,” Rios said.
